Deeridge Farm’s Katie Jacobs Robinson and So You Say Win Championship at WEF

Wellington, FL --- At last week’s Winter Equestrian Festival horse show, Deeridge Farm had good results and brought home a championship ribbon. Deeridge Farm is owned by Jacobs Family and has farms in East Aurora, NY, and Wellington, FL.

Katie Jacobs Robinson and her eight-year-old gelding So You Say won the championship in the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunters. The pair was first and second over fences in the division. This was their first show since Capital Challenge in early October. “It was a little intimidating,” Robinson revealed about showing for the first time this year. “It was also hard having a handy course again, but it was fun!”

“It was a great week, and we finished up well,” Robinson said. “Kristin Mauks did a great job with him, and he was ready to show. He was completely relaxed, which is something that has improved since last year.”

Robinson and So You Say will compete this week at WEF as well, and Robinson said she looks forward to competing in the grand prix ring for the WCHR week.

Robinson’s brother Lou had a good week as well. He rode Kachina to first place in the $2,500 High Amateur Jumper Power and Speed class. His brother Charlie and mount Pia finished fifth in the class. Lou Jacobs also rode Soleil to seventh place in the $10,000 Low Amateur Jumper Classic.

Grace Robinson rode two horses in the Children’s Hunter 14 & Under division. She and Maxim picked up second and fourth places, while Jouet was also in the ribbons. It was a good show for Robinson, who recently moved up from the Children’s Pony division.

Phoebe Robinson and Diamond Rock finished eighth in the $1,500 Children’s Jumper 14-17 Classic.

Kim Jacobs and her new hunter Artistic also won good ribbons in the Adult Amateur 36-50 Hunters.
