Pablo Barrios Tops Hagyard Challenge Series Standings

Lexington, KY --- Pablo Barrios has taken an early lead in the 2010 Hagyard Challenge Series. Barrios took home the top two sports during Thursday’s $30,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic. He rode G & C Sinatra to a first place finish, and then garnered the second place prize with G & C Blanchee Z.

Christina McCrea is holding the second place position in the standings after winning the third place award on Thursday aboard Romantovich Take One. Junior rider Reed Kessler is currently ranked third in the standings after she went double clear with Mika to earn the fourth place honors.

The Hagyard Challenge Series is a summer-long series of five show jumping events at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, host of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™. The rider who accumulates the most points in the series will receive a $50,000 Leading Rider Award, presented after the $50,000 Hagyard CSI-W Lexington Classic held on August 20, 2010, during the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show.
