Can Lamaze Do It?

June 18, 2010

(SPRUCE MEADOWS, Calgary, AB) --- One leg of the CN Precision Series has eluded Canada’s Eric Lamaze through years, the CN Performance Grand Prix. On Sunday the Olympic Champion will have the chance to cross the $100,000 competition off his list.

The CN Performance not only has a $50,000 bonus on the line but it also serves as a World Cup qualifier, something else Lamaze would like to win. With so much on the line the pressure will definitely be on the Canadian Sunday. Time and time again he has proven to thrive and succeed under pressure.

“My entire season has been focused around the CN Precision Series, and I can hardly wait until Sunday,” said Lamaze, adding, “Hickstead is in great form.” Through the 2010 Spruce Meadows Summer Series Lamaze has been nearly untouchable, winning on every ring, under any conditions.

Lamaze and Hickstead certainly have the skill and determination to on Sunday. They will first have to best a top international entry and a course designed by the masters, Leopoldo Palacios (VEN).

The $100,000 CN Performance Grand Prix will take place Sunday at Meadows On the Green. Parking and admission are complimentary for the “Continental” Tournament.
