Canadian Reining Teams Named for 2010 North American Junior and Young Rider Championships

Ottawa, ON --- Canadian Reining Committee (CRC) is pleased to announce the teams that will represent Canada and their provinces at the 2010 Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships. Presented by Gotham North, these Championships will be held July 28–August 1, 2010 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, also the site of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

The four provincial Canadian Reining Teams were selected based on results achieved during a specified qualification period.

"The CRC is thrilled with the number of riders participating in this program and I am very proud to be part of it. We have again seen an increase in the number competing in the qualifiers and those meeting the criteria to make the teams heading to Kentucky,” said Wendy Dyer, of Keswick, ON, who has been named as Chef d’équipe for the for the second year in a row for all teams. “This year will be particularly exciting as Darcy Wilson will be hoping to make it gold medal number 2 and Team Alberta is determined to better their team bronze medal from last year.”
